Why did you choose to pursue a legal career?
I was raised to be conscious about the society we live in and that we all play a part in contributing to ensuring the world is a fair just place for all. I wanted to pursue a career which would firstly allow me to have a contribution to society, and secondly, a career that would challenge me and enable me to grow as a person. I considered law to be the path that would help me achieve both.
What do you enjoy most about your job at Thaliwal Veja?
I enjoy committing my working life to the vulnerable people of society and the sense of adding value and contribution to society.
What has been your highest career achievement so far?
I went back to university as a mature student at age 26. I studied law part-time whilst raising a family and working full-time. To get through 8 years of studying to complete my LLM LPC is an achievement that I was not able to comprehend until it happened.
What are your career plans / ambitions?
I aim to train as a solicitor and qualify within the Court of Protection team at Thaliwal and Veja Solicitors.
A little about you?
Prior to working in law I founded a Community Interest Company. I organised charitable events that had the aim of upskilling young adults and children and providing a safe environment that connected them with other members of their community.
I love being a father and spending time with my daughter. We enjoy exploring the world, all things creative and the odd game of Chinese Checkers!
