Why did you choose to pursue a legal career?
I have always had a natural desire to help people, especially with those who are less confident or unable to do so themselves, and thus the idea of advocating on behalf of someone seems highly rewarding. Completing voluntary work in a care home with residents who lack capacity in addition to participating in the Crown Court competition further ignited my decision to pursue a legal career.
What do you enjoy most about your job at Thaliwal Veja?
As an apprentice, I enjoy supporting senior staff with their cases by completing disclosure analysis, reading through case files and preparing court bundles. I thoroughly enjoy working in the Court of Protection department as everyone is treated as equals, and there is a collaborative approach to work, meaning everyone supports one another with day to day tasks.
What has been your highest career achievement so far?
Being a fee earner at the age of 17, and commencing my legal career at Thaliwal & Veja Solicitors.
What are your career plans/ambitions?
My career plans are to pursue a legal career within the division of Court of Protection and to qualify as a solicitor.
A little about you?
I am very interested and actively involved in Politics. Creative writing and poetry from the Romanticism era fascinates me. I am a huge tea drinker, book lover, cat owner and definitely addicted to Netflix – and oh of course my favourite series is Suits!
